How do you see yourself, when you can't see at all? At the Texas School for the Blind students juggle all the usual pressures of high school along with the added struggles of growing up blind. Spend a dynamic year with four blind teens learning how to fit in and live independently. Forced to confront the world without sight, they share their inner-visions of the outer world. Ultimately, you cannot understand their perceptions without challenging your own.

Lego Robot Fun: Racing Cars on Mars

4th Annual Rodeo Daze Chess Knockout

Join us for the 4th annual Southside Grand Slam! This will be a speed chess tournament. Chess players will face off through a luck-of-the-draw single-round elimination. We'll be using chess clocks, which will speed up the tempo of the games and add to the excitement. Free snacks provided. All kids and teens welcome to participate.


Local Music Live at Your Library

The library is expanding its local music collection in partnership with 17th Street Market and Toxic Ranch Records. As a way to celebrate our updated collection, the library is hosting concerts by a variety of local musicians. This series of performances runs through April at our branch libraries.
